The Winterfell Godswood is an ancient three-acre that has allegedly been left untouched for ten thousand years. It is located in Winterfell, the ancestral seat of House Stark.

There are sentinel trees, oaks, ironwoods, hawthorns, ash and soldier pines located within the godswood. It has a melancholy aspect and sits beside a dark pool. The godswood is accessed by a main, iron gate, or smaller wooden ones.

A Game of ThronesEdit

Eddard Stark visits the Godswood after the execution of Gared and the discovery of the direwolf mother. He sits himself beneath the heart tree and begins to clean Ice. He is then visited by his wife, Catelyn Stark, who tells him of the death of Jon Arryn and the impending visit of King Robert Baratheon.
