Ser Robin Ryger is a knight of House Ryger and serves as captain of the guard at Riverrun. He is an old man with a bald head and is described as having been a tenacious and renowned fighter in his prime.

A Clash of Kings[]
Ser Robin is sent to fetch Ser Cleos Frey from his cell, so King Robb Stark can dispatch him to King's Landing with the peace terms he proposes to Tyrion Lannister.
A Storm of Swords[]
Ser Robin is dispatched with a group of men at arms from Riverrun to track the escaped Ser Jaime Lannister, Cleos Frey and Brienne of Tarth. Brienne gets the better of him, however, and sinks his galley into the Red Fork.
A Feast for Crows[]
Ser Robin asks to take the black and join the Night's Watch after the fall of Riverrun to House Lannister. He goes with Ser Desmond Grell to Maidenpool accompanied by Raff the Sweetling.
