Ser Raymun Darry was the head of House Darry and Lord of Castle Darry at the start of the novels. He is an anointed knight of the House Darry. He is killed at the Battle at the Mummer's Ford.

Appearance and Character[]

Lord Eddard Stark believes that Raymun is good at keeping his look guarded, meaning he doesn't give away his thoughts easily.

History[]

Raymun follows House Darry into Robert's Rebellion, siding with House Targaryen. Three of his older brothers died at the Battle of the Trident, leading to Raymun's resentment of House Baratheon. He secretly supports the Targaryens during their exile under the rule of King Robert Baratheon.

The party of Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark stops at Darry on their way from Winterfell to King's Landing after Arya Stark goes missing. He is present when Arya is brought forward for punishment for the attack on Prince Joffrey I Baratheon.

After the attacks of Ser Gregor Clegane Raymun is one of the nobles dispatched to the capital to plead for support, along with Ser Marq Piper and Ser Karyl Vance. A party is dispatched to bring Gregor to justice, under the command of Lord Beric Dondarrion, and including Thoros of Myr and Raymun. They are ambushed at the Mummer's Ford and Raymun was amongst those killed in the skirmish.
