Otho became known as the Brute of the Bracken after he killed Lord Quentyn Blackwood at a tourney in King's Landing, reigniting the Bracken-Blackwood feud. He used a blunted longaxe, and struck Blackwood so hard that he stove in the helm's visor and the face beneath it.
Otho is present for the Tourney at Ashford Meadow, and rejects the plea of Ser Duncan the Tall when he asks for a seventh knight to take part in his Trial by Seven. Otho is mentioned to be the new heir to Stone Hedge after his elder brother dies of the Great Spring Sickness. His father was dying slowly, apparently.
