Naerys Targaryen was the sister-wife of her brother Aegon IV Targaryen. They had a son together, Daeron II Targaryen, and much later in life, a daughter named Daenerys Martell (later married to Maron Martell and possibly the namesake of Daenerys I Targaryen).
Naerys Targaryen had an unhappy marriage and often asked if she could join the Faith and break her vows. Her husband often had affairs, which brought forth many bastards (some known as noble bastards or high bastards, such as Daemon Blackfyre, the illegitimate son of Aegon IV Targaryen and his cousin Daena I Targaryen).
She was exceptionally close, albeit not incestuous, with her brother Aemon I Targaryen, who defended her honor and crowned her Queen of Love and Beauty.
