Appearance and CharacterEdit
He was a man of few words, preferring to listen over speaking himself. When he did speak he either said something of great importance or was glib. He was both enigmatic and cunning. Larys was well known for his clubbed foot.
Larys was initially brought to court at King's Landing by his father, Lord Lyonel Strong, who was then a member of the Small Council. He served as a confessor to King Viserys I Targaryen, and would eventually rise to serve as Master of Whisperers on the Small Council.
in 120AC both his father and older brother, Ser Harwin Strong died in a fire within their castle. Many people decided that this was just part of the curse of Harrenhal, but other accused Prince Daemon Targaryen, Lord Corlys Velaryon, King Viserys and Larys himself, citing Larys' new title as Lord for his motive. Larys was never found guilty of starting the fire, however.
Larys followed the majority of the Small Council in declaring for King Aegon II Targaryen upon the death of Viserys, despite the fact that Viserys had named Rhaenyra Targaryen as his heir. He smuggled members of the royal family out of the capital during the Fall of King's Landing to Rhaenyra, sending Maelor Targaryen with Ser Rickard Thorne to Oldtown and Jaehaera Targaryen with Ser Willis Fell to Storm's End. He himself left with Aegon to hide on Dragonstone.
Larys was one of the conspirators to poison Aegon after the king refused to bend the knee to to the approaching enemy army. He was arrested during the Hour of the Wolf and found guilty of treason. He was executed by Cregan Stark with the blade Ice, ending the main branch of House Strong.
