House Kenning of Harlaw is a noble house from the Iron Islands. They are vassals of House Harlaw. Their seat is on the island of Harlaw. Their sigil is the storm god's cloudly hand, pale grey, yellow lightning flashing from the fingertips, on black.

The Kennings were once bitter foes of the Harlaws, but were subjugated, and now serve as their vassals.
Herrock Kenning was an Ironborn warrior. He founded House Kenning of Kayce in the Westerlands.

Ralf Kenning is an Ironborn captain, and part of the garrison held by Victarion Greyjoy at Moat Cailin. He urges Victarion to stake his claim on the Seastone Chair. He is listed as one of Victarion's supporters at the Kingsmoot.
A Dance with Dragons[]
Reek meets Ralf Kenning when he is sent to Moat Cailin by Ramsay Bolton. Ralf is nominally in command of the garrison there, most of whom are men of House Codd. He has, however, been poisoned by a crannogman's arrow, and is badly incapacitated. He is mercy killed by Reek.
