King Harras Hoare, also known as Harras Stump-Hand, was a King of the Iron Islands and a man of House Hoare.
History[]
During the Andal Invasion of the Iron Islands, House Hoare sided with other Ironborn houses and the invading Andals in taking down King Rognar II Greyiron. According to legend, they performed the finger dance to see who would fill the power vacuum. Harras was chosen king, though he lost two fingers in the process.
Archmaester Haereg instead suggested that Harras took power by marrying the daughter of an Andal warlord. Harras ruled the Islands for ten years.
