Lord Goren Greyjoy was a Lord of the Iron Islands and head of House Greyjoy during the reigns of Kings Aegon I and Aenys I Targaryen.

History[]

Goren succeeded his father, Lord Vickon Greyjoy, in 33 AC. He had once been counselled by his father that it would be foolish to rise against Aegon and his dragons.

He was responsible for putting down a clumsy rebellion that desired to crown the son of Lord Qhorin Volmark. He was also responsible for subduing an insurgency led by a man who claimed to be Lodos reborn. He sent the traitor's pickled head to Aenys, who rewarded him with a boon, which Goren used to oust the Faith of the Seven from the Iron Islands.
