Dreadfort is a fortress in Westeros, and the location of House Bolton. It is an ominous place that people are reluctant to visit, because it is said that House Bolton still keeps the flayed skins of members of House Stark there.
History
- The Boltons rebelled against House Stark, who were previously their allies, and helped to slay them during the Red Wedding. They were then named Wardens of the North by Tywin Lannister. Dreadfort is currently held by Ramsay Bolton, the legitimized bastard of Roose Bolton.
- Dreadfort was the location where Theon Greyjoy was tortured at the hands of Ramsay Bolton.
