Lord Alan Tarly was the head of House Tarly and the Lord of Horn Hill during the Dance of the Dragons.
History[]
Alan didn't follow the neutrality of his liege lord, Lyonel Tyrell, and instead declared himself for the blacks, in favour of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen over King Aegon II Targaryen. He commanded his troops during the Battle on the Honeywine where he, along with Ser Alan Beesbury and Lord Owen Costayne, cut off the retreat of Lord Ormund Hightower. He was captured after the tide turned upon the arrival of Prince Daeron Targaryen.
